Burn-in & uniformity
Look for persistent outlines, uneven patches and pixels that stand out. Change colors slowly.

How to check
- Use a comfortable brightness and wipe dust off the panel. Enter fullscreen for the widest view.
- Inspect each solid color for several seconds. Gray is useful for faint retained shapes; black is useful in a dim room.
- If you notice a mark, change the pattern and check whether it remains in the same physical area.
Know the limits
This is a visual inspection, not a diagnosis. Temporary image retention and permanent burn-in can look similar; one brief test cannot distinguish them reliably.
Ambient light, reflections, panel viewing angles and normal brightness variation affect what you see. LCD glow is not automatically burn-in.
Do not leave bright static patterns running for extended periods. This tool does not run a pixel-repair or burn-in-removal cycle.
A useful question
Will the test fix burn-in?
No. These patterns only make visual inspection easier. Follow the display manufacturer’s guidance if an artifact persists during normal use.
